Regular-small-tier-prizes-adding-up-which-exceed-expenditures-is-the-goal....It's-a-balancing-act.

The MATH shows that can't happen, if you are LUCKY enough to get that happen, then it is LUCK, not MATH.

I showed you the exact stats for P3 and P4, there is no smaller tier for that, if you play straight, you don't get money for a front pair unless you paid for it.

Not in one day, long term, months or years. You can't print 10K worth of tickets in a day at a store (Maybe, but you will anger all the other customers waiting.

Let's do the math. The jackpot in a pick 3 is a straight, the odd of winning that is 1 in a 1000, or 0.1%. So that leaves you with a 99.9% chance of never hitting the jackpot. The straight pick4 ia 99.99% of not hitting the jackpot.

But I get your point.

Powerball is 99.9999999965777% chance of not winning

Mega is 99.99999999613737% chance of not winning

What I tend to go with is overall odd of winning anything (ticket price or more). PB is 4.016%% and mega is 6.798% of winning... [ More ]

The only reason why it's low is because how you play!

500x3=1,500 1 win

2 win- 250 50 cent straight

3- win-1,000 2x $1 straight

4- win 160-2x 1 box

5- win- 750/1 straight/50 cent straight

5 wins= 3,660

I spend at least $400 a lottery a month for all states

3,660x12= 43,920 a year

I don't keep up with it but have posted pictures of all my wins on Jordan's thread!....I do pretty good with the scratch cards....won $50 on a $5 card today and $50 a few days ago on a $1 card...that was fun for me.

Every single time I start to take a break from playing p3 I get a win so don't look like I'll ever take one!

As far as p4 goes all I can get on them is one off just about every single time I play

This thread was inspired by a comment posted by TasBob. I was surprised that some players only hit 1-2 times per year. Most months I hit 1-2 times. But this month I won 4 times so far. Could have been more with all the screw ups I made that cost me $$$. So I'm interested to know how many times do you hit Pick3 and/or Pick 4 a month
