Frequency does not guarantee big wins but it can help to narrow down better hitters....Here is a vba code to work out the frequency of the top hitters with a scraper to download the powerball results 1-69/26

The Wisconsin lottery (and I'm guessing all States do this) post a frequency chart on the lottery website. If that helped people win, they wouldn't do it. Because the last thing lottery officials want are lots of winners. LOL You want a winning strategy? Look for things they aren't telling you.

I used frequency for the order I placed the numbers into a wheel by entering the numbers most frequent first. It's easy with balanced wheels (every number appears in the wheel the same number of times), but for wheels where some numbers appear more than others, the most frequent are put in those positions on the wheel.

I use them in numbers of ways including checking to see if numbers are distributed as they were in 95% of the earlier drawings but I seldom match more two twice in 15 lines and almost never match either of those lines with the correct megaball.

I don't use the frequency of each individual numbers as it just tells me what number comes in the most often. What I do look for is which combination of numbers come in the most often with each other. In the Mega Millions Power Ball Game, I look for combinations of 3 or more numbers that have hit in combinations with each other more than once I put these combinations into Groups.

Using these charts, what would be for you the best criteria for:

-excluding numbers from a group to make it smaller

-choose a few numbers from the remaining group?

If the chart is being made by lottery software you may have to choose how it ranks the numbers, same if you make the chart up yourself. Not only from best to worse or reverse, when more then one number have the same number of hits you decide whether to rank by numeric order or longest out, most recent, etc.

Circle or highlight the winning numbers on a fresh chart for each draw.

Examine the charts with the winning numbers marked and see if there is any useful as in predictive pattern

Several years ago I tracked how often numbers were drawn in each position. After my computer crashed and I lost my data I realized it never really helped me win even small wins. So now I'm mostly a QP player. Still don't win very often but when you realize the odds we're against, I don't think it matters.
