I think one of the best times to win a jackpot is right after a big one has been won. Frankly, even second prize with the megaplier is enough for me to kiss my job goodbye.

So....I have a ticket with megaplier for Tuesday night. And a Powerball ticket with powerplay for Wednesday night.

One of the problems when a large jackpot is won, is that it shortens the lottery week. Instead of 4 exciting days, we're down to two. I may buy one MM ticket but I dont think most people will. In other states you do have a crack at the second prize of a million and the $15 million but in Cal. the pari-mutuel system means it will be less than 100k. Also, no multiplier option. I will note that after the July 2016 $500 plus million dollar MM jackpot, there were 2 more jackpot winner of $25 and $15... [ More ]

The jackpot before the record had it been won would have only been one winner with the right numbers at $900 million plus so it is not easy to win these games.-weshar75
