Personally, having traveled and still travel often myself...I wouldn't do it that way. Because remember you can only claim in the state the ticket is sold. Unless he plans to go back to those states, you may have a hard time justifying cashing a $10 or $50 ticket 2,000 miles away.

If the drawing is the night of, and he's planning to be there thru drawing time, then I would do it. Plus airports aren't where the winning tickets are sold anyway. Ya gotta go way out in some Podunk town deep, dee... [ More ]

Go to any state lottery's website and there will be a list of all their retailers state wide, complete with addresses, phone numbers, and google maps and such with directions to them.

I remember some years ago, someone buying a winning Big Game ticket at the Atlanta airport. That being said, that airport is hell on earth, and I don't care if 100 winning jackpot tickets are sold there, I avoid the place ike the plague. I feel the same about other airports as well.

Well, in Tx he can buy a ticket just about on every street corner. Not sure about DFW airport. I try to stay away from that place.

LP does have an app that you can download on your phone that shows where you can buy tix anywhere.

Edit....just saw that he did the download.

Gotta improve my reading skills. LOL.

Hey All!

Hubby is out of town and traveling. He's going through several airports and I'd love for him to pick up Powerball tickets everywhere he goes. Is there any good app or site to find the closest retailer?

He's in Texas right now and I'm not finding anything on their website about locations. He just downloaded Lottery Places app, but it's not showing any in the airport, just outside (which could mean there aren't any in airport, but I refuse to give up!).

Any other thoughts or idea... [ More ]
