Not the same. KY Pick-4 only pays $5,000.

Missouri Lottery Pick-4 $6,000 set prize payout is probably the highest for any legal U.S. lottery. I don't know how I missed that one ... or did it increase somewhat recently?

Shame I live so far away or I'd play that. In PA one can improve their payback, long-term, by adding Wildball, but still not as good. Sometimes lotteries have special promotions for Pick-X games, but PA hasn't done any for quite awhile. Tempted to drive to nearby states that... [ More ]

As far as fixed set prizes, Missouri pays out $600 for Pick3 straight and $6000 for Pick4 straight.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery website, 63% of sales is paid out as para-mutuel prizes. Didn't see 70% mentioned - did it go up? Regardless, looking at the payouts, it seems a good deal for the player much of the time. Payouts seem higher than other para-mutuel states, in particular, NJ and California.

As for set prizes, far as I can tell, Kentucky still ranks the highest for the Pick-3 paying $600 for every $1 wagered.

In Massachusetts it's 70%. Don't think any other state can beat that. I usually see only 50%. There should be a list on what states payout what percent on Pick 3.
