The benefit is, you wont loose your money because you can't loose your ticket.

There is also a benefit for the government and for the common taxpayers because winners can't avoid taxes.

If your state offers legal regulated online lottery, then I don't see why you would feel 'uneasy about it.'

States that offer legal regulated online lottery sales:

*Georgia

*Illinois

*Kentucky

*Michigan

*New Hampshire (expect it to go live sometime in 2018; a bill passed recently)

Can someone explain to me if there in a benefit to playing online vs. store?

I actually just found out about the online option and it sounds intriguing to just pick from home,but I am feeling bit uneasy about it.
