I was talking to another member on this site. The member found something interesting in the lottery pyramid. Still some worksheets to do so I did a yr change and notice the draw numbers that were drawn. I did both lotteries and it depends how everyone does the pyramids.

However I still watch how much I play. I only play like $6. Well now it might be $8. so until my winnings go up it looks good.

Seems the price of ticket should be lower if it s only for jackpot. The $2 is for ALL prizes so what s the cost for jp only

It's not worth it. The way the format with the current is with the multiplier. I was listening to a youtube video and apparently more revenue for the MUSL. Just a way for the govt to really screw people.

This is basically the same way powerball layout is and not worth it. SO as they say a non profit for the govt.

I'm getting on the F eM train and pulling my MM budget out of the race. I will put my $6 in the pot once it gets to a billion, other than that forget it! It's ALL or nothing with these folks. I read a report a few years ago stating that if they would lower the odds of the minor prizes, 4+M and below, 24% and increased the pay outs of those minor prizes 52% there would be 68% more winners. The new game is actually the old game Lotto America just different structure. Jackpot odds are 1 in 26 million I do believe with numbers 1-52 and a star ball of 1-10 and a multiplier like Mega and Powerball with 2x 3x 4x and 5x.

All of the prizes will be doubled except the 5+0 which will remain $1 Million, the 4+0 which will remain $500 and the jackpot which will increase to $40 Million as the starting jackpot.

You're absolutely right about what you mentioned. The state lotteries are better to play and some better odds. The big jackpot games are honestly rediculous anyway you put it.

I am going to spend just $2 to $3 dollars on mega millions and powerball from here on out so if I do not win big at least I won't be breaking the bank. I will focus on Oregon megabucks with my lotto budget and spend only the minimum on the multi-state games. So I hardly win on lotto so when I do it will be multiplied bye buying kicker and megaplier and powerplay.-weshar75

Everyone has a breaking point, if to many people find theirs the game will suffer.

You know Artist I too can tell you every single year all the things that go up, they NEVER, EVER go down, from our electric company to vehicle registration. I can guarantee you in January the electric bill will come with a notification they are seeking a RATE HIKE. I dont REALLY want to go there lol, ok here..... it is off topic? Wouldnt it be nice if our wages go up as fast as these increases? It will take a PB or MM just to be able to make monthly utility bills soon.

I believe you can find them for other states. But Calif is para-mutual, and the state lotto had not posted anything. I have a feeling we wont know until Oct 31.

I am seriously rethinking playing MM at all after the change. The greedheads just cant leave the games alone.

Curious as to what the new game will be when Hot Sizzler Lotto ends this month. As it stands right now it is approx. $11.7 million, so if it doesnt get won by the end of the month, then what? Oh wait, it will go to Administrations costs lol.

So on the Calif state lotto site, they say:

Odds are changing: The overall odds of winning any prize changes from 1 in 14.71 to 1 in 24.12. The Jackpot odds change from 1 in 259 million to 1 in 303 million.

Not only do they make it more difficult to win te jackpot, they make it more difficult to win the smaller prizes, too. They will also be smaller.

This stinks
