I think Powerball will get there because someone will hit a jackpot from Mega Millions first.

Powerball has a higher jackpot but I think Powerball will get to 1 billion. What game will get to 2 billion? That the question.

Depending on what state you live in because of state taxes are different. I live in WV and if my math is close to being right just for the heck of it i tried to figure out what it would take for me to walk away after taxes with a billion dollars. the annuity would have to be almost 3 billion dollars and i would have to be the only person to hit the JP. Just thought i would post this since i am having a bit of insomnia tonight

MM will hit that Billion 1st IMHO with the new odds............I will be more than happy to take that Billion well roughly 600 Million(give or take a few million). I have enough charities/family members and friends where that could be nicely EASILY dispersed, leaving me with about 1/12th 1/15th of that to invest/spend within our country for decades to come

The real winners here are the govt. Apparently I was listening to radio before the game changed a few weeks ago and that Powerball people already claimed that they made more money.

MM that will do the same. Heck the jackpot could go to 5 billion dollars annuity and honestly I don't care. It's a trap for the govt to screw anyone.

You're not clearing after taxes about $500k for sure.

Dont worry -- no one will ever win a billion dollars. If you take the lump sum and minus fed taxes, it's approx a third of what they claim you won.

Personally I really don't care. Who in the heck needs a billion dollars anyway? I'm done with those two games, they increase the odds and increase the price of a ticket. I really don't like being played for a fool. I play the lower odd's games, give me a million and I'll be happy.

Maybe MM and PB will go both have their billion dollar jackpots at the same time?
