This can be done with a Table from which you use a Vlookup or Hlookup formula.

When you go from a Number to a Vtrac there is only 1 answer. When you go from Vtrac to Number there are 2 Answers. For a Pick 3 Game, if that is what this is used for, you would get 2 answers per digit position and therefore 6 Combinations resulting.

thamizhpayan thank you for suggestion and link. need to be able to back test hundreds of draws in excel sheet, so it must be excel formula specific.

one thing I like more is to be able to back test in excel. vb codes and other programs don't let you do that for several hundred draws.

Vtracs to Low Digit [=MOD(A2-1,10)]

Vtracs to High Digit [=MOD(A2+4,10)]

V1 = 0 / 5, V2 = 1 / 6, V3 = 2 / 7, V4 = 3 / 8, V5 = 4 / 9

anyone know of an excel formula (no vb please) that will take a vtrac and make it a 0-9 digit?

I have the digit to vtrac (thanks winsum) but just wondering if its opposite is out there somewhere.
