Stack, you made some good points regarding the odds. Deep down, I favor our old traditional lottery here, the New York Lottery. If you read my post earlier this week Budget Betting , I may revamp that. Stick to my $20.00 dollars a week, but discontinue Powerball and Mega, unless with a group.

Even if it's only for one or two drawings, the problem with group play is unless you win one of the top prizes, your share of any split won't be much. A group I was in won $1500 for matching 5 out of 6 playing Ohio Super Lotto. Nice prize but after dividing it 30 ways, not much to brag about.

PB and MM only has a 4% chance of winning your money back or more.Crappy odds.

Our pool had 150 $1 QPs, but you can only expect to win $4 buying 75 $2 PB tickets.... [ More ]

Group of 4 at work, including me. We only play when prize is over 300Meg. I scan and email all the tickets to the group BEFORE the drawing. We won less then 10$ a few times, just rolled it over.

PB and MM only has a 4% chance of winning your money back or more. Crappy odds. We would have done better with 20$ scratcher tickets, but that means all meeting in the same place/time for someone to scratch and the others are witnesses

Exactly. Being in a poorly run pool isn't a great idea, but there's nothing wrong with being in a well run pool.

I m in many group pools, one family + friends and one Eurojackpot group with strangers. Official Swedish Svenska Spel offer online players group play. Everyone need to bet the same amount and every player share the winnings equally. We can play Lotto, Keno, Eurojackpot and many other games.

Zep, you made an excellent point my friend! I'm trying to get another one going. I use to work at a trucking company and I had a nice little syndicate running.There have been a few groups around the country that have won.

I am in two groups. One small one with family and friends and one bigger one at work. I never buy tickets as an individual. I spend enough as part of 2 groups.

Hello everyone! Many of us here have been involved with the numbers, lotteries, scratch-offs games for years. And I think it's safe to say that many of us have had hits , a win or two. I was just wondering if anyone here has been involved in a group lottery? One at your job, an organization of some sort you may belong to, etc.. If so do you like them? Are you currently involved in one? Have you had any sort of win?

They say there's strength in numbers.
