Few of them tell us about it, but I'm pretty sure there are several posters who aren't just a bit odd or eccentric. I'm sure there are plenty of people for whom the financial freedom that should come from winning a large sum would reduce stress and therefore help with any mental issues (including things that probably don't qualify as mental illness). OTOH, I seriously doubt that it would completely solve any mental illness.

jjtheprince14, As you can see from these LPMember posts you are not alone. A lottery win would help you find improved help for both body and mind. New medicine. Advanced psychiatry. When you take your prescriptions on time and get plenty of rest you will help yourself improve.

A win could give you more opportunities to explore the world.

I have a mental illness too it is called Schizophrenia I have been hospitalized in the summer of 2000 and the spring of 2008 all those times I stopped taking my medicine. Now I have been taking my meds since my last hospitalization and don't look back. I function good and am productive member of society and I will continue to take my meds to control my illness and get plenty of sleep.-weshar75

Well, jj, wealthy people suffer from bi polar, etc, too, so I dont think it is a cure. But it would make the rest of your life easier so you could concentrate on your health.

For me winning the lottery would make me happier because it would allow me to buy a new car, a house, travel, and make charitable donations.

Just curious how it would fix your problems?

As some of you can tell here I m severely mentally ill, have bi polar disorder I with psychosis and hallucinations. Lottery would permanently fix my mental illness and I could stay off my meds and be just fine.
