I am getting closer and closer to my ultimate goal in pick 3 which is to win $31,600 in one drawing....

today for example in NC Pick 3, 2 combinations ( in my opinion ) are overdue/missing

4XX and 8XX...

8XX more than 4XX espically for midday draw... If I can get 812 exact and 50/50, I would throw down $80.00 tonight on a 4XX combination that I really really like and hope for the best

40 exact and 40 50/50 = $31,600

Seems to me you may have needed two polls, one for what they're shooting for and one for what they actually want. There are only a few people here stating their goal is a win with a limited dollar value, but so many seem to be playing for a limited amount based on the odds, not because that's what they would prefer. They want a bigger win but they're going with practicality and so will settle the smaller amount.

I play to win but for the past two decades, I have only been successful in losing. I once picked the winning numbers but had a run in with my non-lottery-playing-it-is-a-sin-to-be-gambling ex-wife (was married during the incident in question) that thwarted my ability to buy the ticket that day. I clicked the jackpot, however, if I did 4+1 at least I know what the uses of the money would be to.

I gave up on PB MM, I'm not playing them unless its over $300 Mil. It's a $6 bottemless buckets.

My goal would be anything over $3 mill after everything but for now i want is tonight's NJ cash 5 and pick 6. It should be over $1.5 mil after dust settles. It should be plenty to buy a house invest and be at where I should be financially. Other I will make up as I go.

It means...of course I want the jackpot. But the odds for second prize are half of the odds for my state's Lotto jackpot. So, I have a better chance (I know, very little chance) of hitting second prize than my Lotto jackpot.

I used to play for second prize when the Power and Mega matrixes were better.

On the Mega 56/46 you had a decent shot at second prize and you could megaply it to $1mil

Even on the 75/15 You had a reliable shot at $5mil megaplied second prize for 2 bux a tik.

Now, It is $3 to play and second prize is almost always @2 million and the odds at the JP have almost doubled.

With Powerball you had a 5,000,000 to 1 shot at a powerplied $2,000,000.

What I really like as far as lotteries are concerned are raffles!!

I play The Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle twice per year, even though I live in The State of New York. It's only an hour's drive over to PA, so to me, those 125,000 to 1 odds to win one million dollars are worth it. You guys in Fla took the hammer this year on The FLA Millionaire raffle. I'd like to be able to drop 14,000 on 4 Super Bowl tickets like a recent winner did to take three other people to the game and not blink an eye. Actually, I would like to win enough to take care of what debt we have, buy a different house in another state and a couple of decent cars and then be able to get about 100,000 a year to live off of. I don't really need a whole bunch of crap at my age. Enough to make sure my family is taken care of and my kids can go to college.

I like your thinking on this one, GiveFive! In Florida, there's also another reason to go for the $1,000,000 second prize in PB and MM-this prize can be claimed at a Lottery regional office. Usually, any prize over $250,000 must be claimed in Tallahassee, which is way up in the panhandle. Florida is a looong state, so depending on where you live, you could be looking at a 10-hour drive one way (although for that much $, I guess you could fly. Hmmm...)

I feel like I gotta 'splain why I voted like I did.

I voted for winning a second place prize, but that's only when I play PB or MM, which is usually when the jackpot gets very big. 292 and 302 million to 1 odds to win a PB or MM jackpot is ridiculous, and that's why I don't play those games too often. I always add the Megaplier or PowerPlay option when I play them, so IMHO, those games are pretty pricey.
