Well, I would have to say the old powerball site was like, what, 20 years old? It's about time they tried to do something to update it. What drives me crazy are the ads on their site. Really? Are they that hard up for money they have to have Test Your Internet Speed ads? Crazy...

They have either removed the testpb.doc link or hidden it somewhere else. it was nice to view the test draws. looks like it is gone now.

Really, if a player can't figure out the numbers drawn regardless of the order, they shouldn't be playing in the first place. It's not exactly rocket science.

Where is the info regarding the IT/programming official manipulating the drawings?

Or are you referring to Tipton and the HOT LOTTO draws

Welllllllllllllllllll... just tried opening the PB site a few minutes ago.... it sputtered and hemmed and hawed and partially opened up.... Can't see the numbers (not that I need to- thank you TX lottery)... let me try again right now...BRB...

The new Powerball site sucks so bad that I am considering not playing Powerball any longer. First of all, the numbers at the site are posted in the order they are draw not the order on the ticket I purchased. The new number order increases the chances of someone missing the sequence and not collecting their winnings which is probably what Powerball wants to happen. The new Powerball website is slowing to a crawl this morning. They had done such a nice job with the old website making it very quick, even during high traffic periods. What a shame, hopefully they will fix (and load test) the new website soon.

They'll probably do the same to the Mega Millions site.

Improvements aren't always improvements.

Each MLB ream site used to have its own persona. The KC Royals site had a feature that let you see the field view from any seat in the stadium. That was then, now all the teams are clones of MLB.com with different team colors and names thrown in.

So I took a gander at the PB website again and as I am scrolling down the page to be educated, I get to the part where it says How TALL $40 Million dollars is compared to the height of the Smithsonian. COOOOL right ?

The new official Michigan Lottery Website is worse too.

They want to de emphasize the fact that there are fewer and fewer jackpot winners and the jackpots are taking longer to be won.

While I don't know about the other states I can tell you that, before Michigan removed its information, we here have been in the Lucky for life game for over 3 years and there has never been a top prize winner in Michigan.

As a foreigner I like the updated faq:

You do not have to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident to play Powerball . Players from jurisdictions where Powerball tickets are not sold, either in the United States or outside the country, can purchase Powerball tickets from a retailer licensed or authorized by the selling jurisdiction, if they meet the legal age requirement in the jurisdiction of purchase. Federal and jurisdictional income taxes may apply to any claimed prize money.

The pretest links are gone for both Powerball and Mega Millions. I liked to use the pre-tests to pick my numbers--it enhanced my delusions of winning. The mega millions pretest has been gone for months. I would have to google mega millions pretest which brought up a 2011 Lottery Post thread asking about the pretest. I'm going to email Powerball to see if I get anywhere.

When I opened the site up this morning, I honestly that it was an advertisement for a colonoscopy or an AARP promotion on Metamucil, soooooo I closed it out and reopened and it went to the same darn thing again !!

Took it off my favorites,did a search..opened it again and low-n-behold..it was the same darn thing !!! I am thinking, smooth move Exlax, how did that work out for you

There have been lots of people contacting me privately, telling me that they are not happy with the new Powerball website, but that there appears to be no contact information shown.

To contact MUSL about the new website, you can use the e-mail address letters@musl.com.
