In my state we don't actually get any game tickets when playing Online and any winnings are deposited in my account. A SS number is required to open an account and winnings over $600 we'll get a W-2G . You'll have to check the Illinois Lottery rules to find your options.

Let's say you live in Virginia where you cannot claim via a trust , etc, and they plaster your name all over. I would assume they could not release your name before you claimed it officially ( online playing) so I guess you could control the process a little by waiting a month or two or longer to make personal arrangements, move, hide, etc. You would not have a paper ticket to worry about losing.

My suggestion if it is that much of an issue to run out to buy them twice a week, is to purchase advance draws. Here in Texas, we can get 10 advanced draws. Some states allow much more. That way you would only have to go out every so often.

I assume the same state lottery law should apply as if you purchased it in person. If your state permits claiming via a trust, then the state lottery law should apply and allow you to claim via a trust. You should not have to waive that right because of an online purchase...unless it is clearly stated on the lottery website.

Sounds like a future lottery lawsuit if the lottery tries to deviate from the state lottery rules

First rule of thumb : Keep your mouth shut. That babe you recently met online, you tell her nothing.She wants to know everything about you , you tell her you renting a room in your parents basement.That should kill that inquiry.

Depends on which state, but forming a trust usually works. But if your state doesn't allow Online winners to collect via trust, why not buy your tickets the old fashioned way

Sorry if this has been asked before, but say I hit the powerball jackpot with a ticket I bought online rather than a paper ticket. Is there a way to remain anonymous and if so how
