Yes. Pretty much everything that happens a lot results in something similar, and can be graphed as a bell curve. Depending on what the thing is (lottery drawings, magnitude of earthquakes, test scores) the bell curve may be steep or fairly flat.

So what kind of advantage it is going to give a player if in those 11 draws you will have most of the time around 30 numbers? If it happened 70% of the time then ok you can take the risk of eliminating those 9, but 17% of the time is no help at all.

Do you have a working version of Nick Koutras LottoStatisticsXL ?

My copy stopped working several years ago. I get a Scripting Framework error when I try to use it. Is there a working version of it available??

As RL-RANDOMLOGIC said Lotto games follow the Law of large numbers.

The frequency of the range 4/7/17 to 4/7/18 using LottoStatisticsXL Nick Koutras, the numbers 6 and 18 had 57 hits.

Doubles [2 numbers] and Triples [3 numbers] frequency on the same range 4/7/17 to 4/7/18

Random at it's finest. Random creates patterns but these patterns are not something we can

trust day to day. If I seen a game where this did not happen I would be concerned. The counts

are always in a sort of transition mode. The longer the game runs the closer the count will be to

the expected.

The numbers on lottery balls are only labels so they can tell one ball from another.

I play NY's Take5, a 5/39 game.

Year after year, I've seen the most frequently drawn number of the year (and also during a rolling year - 4/7/17 to 4/6/18) have 57, 58 or 59 hits. (3.2% of the 1825 balls/numbers drawn in 365 drawings)

In addition I've consistently seen the same thing with other states 5/39 games - Maryland, Michigan, Missouri and California. There have been a few years among all the states I listed above where a number hit 60 or more times, but not many. I already know fro... [ More ]
