Some information ... since the Mass Cash jackpot hit of 10 winning tickets on July 9th, there have been no jackpot winners of $100,000 ... nine days.

There has to have been a lot of play, with people playing one, two, five, eight tickets or whatever. The lottery has more than gotten back all the money they paid out on July 9th for Mass Cash.

Still not all that easy to win with odds of 1 in 324,632 ... Good Luck

Just a little caution when buying Mass Cash tickets in MA and how you decide to purchase them. If you are playing five lines of the same numbers ... be sure to buy five separate tickets so as to not generate a situation where you 'may' have to pay tax.

For instance, if you do get lucky and hit 4 out of 5 numbers ... each separate ticket would pay $250 with no tax payment to worry about. However, if all five lines are on 'one' ticket ... that would be a total win of $1250 on one ticket ... you... [ More ]

Just to show players how acutely aware Players in Massachusetts are about playing Mass Cash with the same line of five numbers multiple times, in 2016 nine people hit a jackpot with either multiple tickets sold at the same store, or by playing the same line of five numbers more than once on one ticket.

In 2017 it happened nine times. So far in 2018, it's happened five times. (Interesting that we're halfway through 2018 and halfway to it happening ten times this year.)

Yes and at a reduced cost than if you bought a ticket every day from a retailer. (But from now until August 4th, they are even cheaper than if you bought a Season Ticket at their regular reduced cost.) G5

There is a lot of misinformation (particularly in the Lottery News thread about the recent Mass Cash winner of $900,000) regarding purchasing Mass Cash Season Tickets. I'll try to clear the air in this post.

There are two sources of a Mass Cash Season Ticket. (which are now selling at a reduced price until August 4th)

They are;

Found out today when I visited a Massachusetts Lottery retailer that players can purchase a group season ticket. All Season Tickets must be registered. That can be done either on The Mass Lottery's website by the purchaser or the player can mail The Mass Lottery the registration form that prints out of the terminal at the retailers location along with the Season Ticket. With regard to those of us in my pool, you're presupposing a few things that may or may not happen.

I do agree that getting tied up in court is one thing that could happen, but I still don't know if The Mass Lottery can even handle or will allow a group subscription. If they don't, then the pool wont be playing Mass Cash. If The Mass Lottery does allow it, should they cut checks very soon after a big win, any court battles that ensue would be the problem of the individual member of the pool... [ More ]

I am just posting this since it just happened Monday night ... July 9th, there were a total of ten winning tickets and one person had nine of those winning tickets.

It just seems to me you are making the whole lottery ticket thing complicated ... various SSNs, taxes and final prize checks.

There could be two ways to go ... as I said earlier, everybody just gets their own ticket ... very simple ... or if you must do a 'group play', then everyone still gets their own ticket but you all play the same numbers, if you hit one day then everyone gets their own $100,000 check and they pay their own taxes and such.

Keep it simple and easy ... no ex-spouses, ch... [ More ]

The pool I m in is limited to 8 players and we each throw in $60 so the potential to play a single set of numbers many times over is there. We re in eastern NY near the Mass border (about an hours drive) so the thought of a group subscription appeals to us. But all 8 of us want The Mass Lottery to withhold taxes and divide the remainder amongst us. All 8 are willing to provide the Mass Lottery with SSN s because it s a subscription. G5

I'm not sure about a group play. I would think everyone should just get their own tickets. After paying taxes on a possible $100,000 hit and splitting it 4, 5, 6 or 8 ways ... what's left to get 'excited' about?

It seems to me that 'your just playing for fun money' and nothing serious. Let everyone 'go for it' with their own ticket ... if they can't swing the money, then maybe they shouldn't be playing the lottery, except for a little fun.

There's something else about Mass Cash the above post does not mention, and that's the fact that it's not parimutuel. If you bought two tickets with the same set of five numbers and those five numbers won a jackpot, then you'd win $200,000.

Last Monday (July 9th) in West Bridgewater Mass, there were 10 winning tickets sold, four of them in the same store. It's possible that all ten tickets were purchased at different stores by the same person. If that's the case, then that player won $1,000,... [ More ]

I m very interested. Do you know if a subscription for a group is available? I m in a pool of players and would like our pool to subscribe. A subscription for an individual won t work for us.

Compared to New York s Take5, Mass Cash is twice as easy to win and players win twice as much if they hit a jackpot. G5

Starting July 1 st ... the Mass Cash game can be played by anyone 'out of state' ... just like Megabucks Doubler. There is a summer special going on now till August 4th ... also for the Megabucks Doubler game.
