You could probably get away with wearing a pair of those sunglasses that are for light sensitive people. I have a big pair that go over my regular eye glasses and hides a big portion of my face. You could also think about wearing a wig or a turban to hide your hair.

If you win such a large amount, it shouldn't be too hard to borrow a bunch of money for this (if you don't already have savings or credit). A permanent plastic surgery is not what I am suggesting, but for $10,000 or so, it shouldn't be too hard to have someone make you look different in some way that is reversible. Something that goes WAY beyond just makeup and sunglasses.

You can always hold the check in front of your face when they take the picture. It's been done before.

Then there's the second option. Show up at the lottery office to claim the ticket. When they tell you, you have to go public, say No, I don't . Then tear up the ticket and walk out.

I think people on here don't know what is going on....

Some states say YOU MUST go public and do an interview and take pictures. You can't say you don't want to go or you can't claim your prize.

That grandma, the one in Massachusetts. She probably had those glasses. She didn't prepare for that win. You don't just come out in 24 hrs and claim a prize. Then she ask the police dept to defend at her house. Well then you better pay them 50% more of their salaries.

I find something weird about that winner.

It's for me and other people that are curious on how to stay anonymous by going public.

I know that the grandma that won the 1 billion dollar powerball wore sunglasses. A lot of people wore hats. How bout a face mask?

Can we just hang the face mask on our chin, instead of fully covering it.
