I have a living revocable trust and went to an expert in trusts. You do not need to be a lottery winner to have a living trust but if you own property, etc., and have a net worth, it is a good idea and avoids probate. And you do not need to be retirement age to have one done. Spend the $2000-$3000 and go to a well known law firm that handles trusts and estates 24/7.

Thanks music* - it always help to start knowing the information needed to claim a large winnings. Of course when the time comes, the team will have the latest documents, etc. It is nice to be prepared.

Remember that these trusts also include lengthy other documents as part of the trust like the lengthy medical directives in various scenarios, power of attorney form, funeral and burial wishes, asset list, etc. Those other documents are what takes time to reflect upon and make decisions. Trust language is also missing your state law citations.
