Those roaming bears are looking for food. They will eat dog and cat food. Almost anything else. They will return for more. This is their nature and instinct.

Do not get in between a Mother Bear and her cubs.

The WW2 generation resorted to killing the bears. We have progressed beyond those days and are more humane.

The Carolina's now have a long recovery to travel.

I have family living in Biltmore Lake, they have bears roaming around. To the rear of the area is a wildlife sancuary that's full of bears, Florence is causing them to roam.

So sad that there has been the loss of life due to Tropical Storm Florence. A mother and her infant were crushed in their home by a huge tree that fell upon them.

There has not been much from the storm. A few trees fell over and some tree limbs mostly due to the fact the property owners either cannot afford to care for the trees or just won't do any property maintenance. Wilmington NC is the second most expensive place to live in NC. The jobs here dont pay anything compaired to the cost of living.

Right now it's a cat 2. Biggest concern will be water from rain and storm surge. Once it hits land it will slow down and just rain. Lot of flooding gonna happen.

This is the hurricane that isn't gonna happen. The government has been doing weather experiments here ever since I can remember. I think since that real bad one in new orleans, they figured something out. I would not suprise me if the government knocks this hurricane down from a cat 5 to a cat 1 or 2. They do not want people to cash in on FEMA as they have done in the past.

From expereince during the Hurricane Issiac evacuation in September 2012, in Port Allan, Louisiana, I was at a gas station, walking outside in pounding rain, and intense wind, my Lotto ticket with 5 quick picks flew away from my hand into oblivion. Later I checked to see if the store had a big winner, it didn't. But always put your ticket in your wallet in wind, rain, and not hold it. How will Hurricane Florence change the Lottery playing in South East United States?

One million evacuees from those States have already left. I know that lives are more important than things like the Lottery.

I wonder what the Lottery Draws in Atlanta, GA, and Tallahassee, Fl are doing. How about MUSL?

If there are winners in those States there could be delays.
