IMHO

It doesn't matter who you are or where you live - if you are the only winner of a billion dollars, or one of several winners, the media will eventually find you!

Most of the losers, if not all of them, including myself, will want to know who won!!

It goes without saying that many envious people will try to get a share.

Leaving the country might be the only way to escape the attention.

I buy my tickets online in Illinois, so obviously Illinois knows who I am. In the unlikely event I won let's say, a billion dollars, do you think my name would be made public immediately, or only after I (or my representative) actually show up to collect my winnings
