I powerplay and megaply because I play as much for 2nd prize as I do for the jackpot.

Why? Well, at my age, second prize is RETIREMENT MONEY. And the odds are better than my state lotto game.

And......the extra $4 a week is chump change.

The 5+0 winners in this draw would be $4 Million richer if they had paid the extra $1 for the Megaplier (excluding California).

AND . . most other income for the tax year still gets bumped up into the 37% tax bracket.

I play MM PB via subscription. On renewal last week decided to keep my numbers but add the multiplier. Due to a miss timing on my part I had an overlap which meant same numbers and one with power play. Well I won a measly $4 but a power play of 3 on the new subscription meant $12.

long story short ...it reaffirms my decision to play the multiplier. How I wish this was the case when I won $200 in august (also 1st drawing on that subscription ??)

I play 2 lines one with QP and one with SP.
