A quick and easy multiplication you can do to get to the AFTTH is:

$132.1 X.63 = $83,223,000.00 and for PB $125.5 X.63= $79,065,000.00

The USAMEGA site gives the amount that will be on the check.

.63 + .37 = 1.00 or in other words 63% + 37% = 100%

That's the rational conclusion. The higher odds mean that MM has a slightly better chance of making it past any particular amount, but the typically greater sales for PB means it's probably more likely to happen first.

Of course for both games it's more likely that the jackpot will be won sooner until we get to about $500 million. Right around 200 million tickets is what's required for a 50% chance of a winner, and right now selling another 20... [ More ]

The last time I checked hope was free, and for a lot of us the supply isn't particularly limited. Hope in the form of a ticket costs $2 no matter what size the jackpot is.
