I used to drive the big truck. But when dispatched to Texas, I've only visited:

Laredo: (too doggone hot/humid);

Houston: - nothing but car dealerships;

Dallas/Ft. Worth: too busy too much traffic;

Amarillo: The cows must outnumber people 10,000 : 1. We could have a massive fuel shortage, leaving motorists stranded on the side of the road, some day, but a beef shortage? NEVER.

Seriously though, I've never been to Brewester County, but its location seems good... [ More ]

I happened to be speaking with, the other day. How we got on the subject of Californy,

I don't know, but she said Carson, Nevada .

Immediately, I replied You'd leave Californy, for Nevada? .

She said only one word, and I understood, and agreed. That word was traffic .

Thank you, but no. In the thawed out season, it gets overwhelmed with flies, bugs, etc.

Otherwise, it's just too doggone cold. I don't mind some civilization. Also, most people

(idk, depends on area, too many doggone drunks).

I remember fog at night at the U.S. Naval Base in San Diego. I also remember fog at the Airport.

I guess you could find a bunch of stats on the National Weather Service site.

There is a lot of Coastline on the West. I hope you find what you are looking for.

If you like fog than look at San Francisco or the Central Valley where I am.

I was aiming for Laguna Beach but too many fires nearby. Malibu was my original choice but then wanted a busier area. I want to garden all year long. It is so cold on the east coast. Virginia Beach and Florida do not interest me.

I had made a plan to relocate to Malibu, Californy, should the unthinkable happen,

if I had actually won a huge lotto. Well, that's not going to happen anyway, now, is it?

It's all up in smoke now (no Cheech and Chong pun intended, either).

Seriously what other place exists that closely matches the best place in the world to live ? ? ?

(I mean that won't burn to a crisp
