The powerball test results and live drawing for each week are listed on the powerball website. They list machine number and ball set. There are four machines and ball sets. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click media center. Then click general information. Then click...For powerball pre-test results...

When we speak about lottery, it includes all lottery games in general. Check out all the forums on here.

As for Florida, I imagine they would use RNG for all games. We will see.

If I were a Florida resident, I would write to them and tell them I would stop playing if they go to number generators.

I moved to California, a number generator state, from Virginia, a ball state. I have not played the California Lottery because they use number generators. If they used balls, I would play. I still play when I go back to Virginia because they use balls.

I also think ball drawings are much more entertaining to watch.

I still standby the notion that the FLA Lottery already use the computer for the pre-drawings. The live ball drawings are just for show.

This isn't some business that is barely staying in business. It is (like any lottery) a racket that has gigantic profit margins. What is the purpose of trying to eliminate a couple of jobs? That's just dumb.

Casinos manage to operate live keno with ping pong balls, and have drawings every few minutes 24 hours a day, with profit margins half that of the stat... [ More ]

It is funny that you mention that. After you answer the Florida Lottery survey question on the RNG vs balls, they ask you why you are less likely to play the game. I specifically mentioned Eddie Tipton and that I would not play any game that is based on a RNG (except for maybe slots because you have no choice).

What would the point be to do this? Are they that lazy. Or are the top people trying to figure a way to cut salaries. Think about it. If half of the lotteries in Florida were ran by a computer. No more buying or servicing the machines. No more test runs. Jobs would be cut and that's more money for fewer people to share. How would they televise the drawings? Would it be trusted. RNG not a good idea in a state where fraud is so rampant. In the medical community the entire state of Florida is considered a hot spot and there are specific areas in Florida that are deemed on fire so Noooooo . Too much fraud in the state already.

The Florida Lottery online draw games (Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Fantasy 5, Lucky Money, and Lotto) still use the manual ball set drawings with videos broadcast on TV or provided online...

Thanks for posting this. I hope many others here do the same. It would be a crying shame if Florida destroyed their drawings by going to computers.

In a new Florida Lottery Flamingo Forum survey out today, it appears the Florida Lottery is considering computerized random number generated drawings for some of its games. One of the survey questions was which drawing method do you prefer, Draw Machine Ball Sets --or-- Computer Program (Random Number Generator).

Any other Florida Lottery players who get this survey will hopefully choose the Draw Machine Ball Sets preference and also leave a comment concerning the flawed Computer Program
