If you read carefully, the request is for the CITY the jackpot was won. Not the NAME of the person.

It is a reasonable request.

In Texas, the city and the store the ticket was sold is always posted for jackpot wins. Good info to see. Too bad not all states provide that info.

No, it's a media section that announces when jackpots are won in California. It doesn't just list SuperLotto, it also lists Mega Millions and Powerball and (large prize) scratch off tickets that were purchased in California. It's posted the day after the lottery drawing and obviously it doesn't list who won, just that there was a winner in California and what city and where it was purchased.

They do also list the names of the jackpot winners after they've collected their prize but that's not... [ More ]

The California Lottery website has a media section which goes back for the full year.

Are you talking about the winners' stories section? CA doesn't make you do publicity so you won't find most winners that way.

The California Lottery website has a media section which goes back for the full year. I checked that for the month of September and was surprised that nothing about the 33 million dollar jackpot being won was even listed. They had all the other winners for that month but not for the 33 million dollars which I thought was strange. I guess I'll try emailing them.

You have to email them to request it if the info is no longer on the website and not on the Wayback Machine either. (I checked the Wayback Machine and there were no captures for Sept 17-23.) Winner name, place purchase, and amount won are public info in California. Best of luck to you.

Does anyone know which city the winning ticket for the California Super Lotto jackpot on September 19th was purchased in? I have checked the California Lottery website and I've checked on the web and I can find no information about this. Thank you.
