The effectiveness of filters is largely based on where in the order of filters they are placed. Placed first they can take out a huge number of combinations while toward the end they might do nothing at all.

Couldn't have said it better and emphasis on placement makes all the difference. However, for me, filtering is more of a profit-building mechanism than a combo reducing tool. Draw-specific combos should also require draw-specific filtering but, many players begin with so few combos that t... [ More ]

If I had the skills I'd create a system that runs the database draw history through a set of filters until I found a filter collection that passed an risk acceptable percentage of past draws and then apply that filter collection against the game combinations.

For example, say I ran the Florida draw history through my filter collection tweaking them until 80% passed. I think it would be interesting to see what the same filter collection would leave of the game's combinations. Now you might... [ More ]

dr san, with respect, this is something that YOU, the designer of the system, should already know based on what you've put together for combos. In all honesty, the filtering isn't make much of a difference at all given the amount of combos afforded to play on either game...it makes no sense. Now, if you were on that elite level spending major $$$ to maximize combos and odds of winning then, I'd say that strategic filtering would save you a good chink of money. As it stands, and unless you're spe... [ More ]
