What Tipton did was install a RNG on the computer to produce certain results on certain days while writing the code for MUSL. Basically he made the random drawings dependent upon the clock in the computer.

So there was no special Tipton Code. It was special only that he modified the RNG he wrote for MUSL.

In that respect it was quite like one of the time delayed viruses from the 80's and 90's where the program included a countdown clock until it activated a certain picture or gif to... [ More ]

The source code of the programs he wrote was never made public, presumably to preserve the integrity of lotteries that still use PRNGs.
