Most states have some type of second chance drawings, but if a store did cash a non winning ticket, it's because of a mistake. Some of the posters were being facetious about cashing winning tickets bought in one state in another state.

You could always try selling the ticket to someone willing to trade for your anonymity , by you claiming to be an illegal immigrant.

Why stop at five vowels? Facetiously uses six vowels in order, as does abstemiously.

Yes. Unlike winning tickets, losing tickets can be cashed anywhere. Even a plumber in Australia can cash it for you and give you what it's worth, and they can even do it in currency from the country of your choice.

No. This is directly from the Powerball faq:

How can I claim my prize?

Prizes must be claimed in the jurisdiction where the winning ticket was purchased.Players can generally claim a prize up to $600 at any licensed lottery retailer in the jurisdiction where they bought the ticket. Prizes over $600 can be claimed at some lottery offices, depending on the amount, and also at lottery headquarters. Please contact your lottery with any further questions.

Oh! I didn't think of that possibility. However, given it's Powerball and played across many States, it might be different. I hope an expert or Attorney replies before Monday, otherwise I'll call them directly and post.

The State where the Winning Ticket was Purchased will have the Money to Disperse to the Winner!

If you take the Winning Ticket to Another State: Guess What!: The Other State won't have any Money to Disperse.

I certainly wouldn't care about paying extra Taxes.
