I'd gladly pay an extra $1 to get $50.

Todays Nm Mid was 5776 , I had the 76 on three lines and it paid $3. I got my money back. It was a waste of time.

They tried to place blame on this site when they made the mistake of dropping the fp,bp prize from $28 to $1. This change came out of the blue . No one knew about it. This is really upsetting the lotto players in this state. Its just ridiculous.

By the way, it is not a bad thing that the NM Lottery pays out a small amount for a pair hit, because unlike other states you don't have to place a wager on pairs in order to win it. In Texas and just about everywhere else, you have to pay for a pairs bet in order to win pairs.

From what I can see, Texas does not offer any payouts for pairs at all. Maybe someone from Texas can confirm

I saw your article about the programming glitch where doubles couldn't be drawn. I went to the commision and was re-imbursed. I saw the sign that the change was in effect for March 13. I told them it would hurt the sales.

They were paying $28 for bp,fp, because I collected and so did others. They are now calling it another one of their programming errors. Baloney!

Many states pay $25 to $50 bucks for fp,bp. I even read that Texas pays $50 for fp,bp,and the middle pair. This is smart becaus... [ More ]

As we discussed privately, I am happy that the lottery decided to write this note, but it does not make it acceptable to blame Lottery Post to their customers who write to them.

They have added this note on their Pick 4 Overview Page:

As of March 13, 2019, the prize for matching a Front Pair or Back Pair in Pick 4 has been corrected to $1. NMLA apologizes for the vendor programing error and hopes you will continue to enjoy this new game.

A heads-up for all New Mexico Lottery players: I have been contacted by the New Mexico Lottery, telling us that the payout amount and odds we have been showing on our Pick 4 payouts pages is wrong for that game.

They provided a link to their Pick 4 information page, and indeed it shows only $1 for a payout (instead of $28 that we have been publishing) and odds of 1 in 51 instead of 1 in 50 that we have been publishing.
