			<description><![CDATA[<p>Wouldn&#x27;t be a very smart cashier. And wouldn&#x27;t be a cashier too long.<br /><br />Selling a ticket and cancelling it two minutes later, without attaching the ticket to the cancellation slip would be the end of their cashier career. The manager would see all the cancellation slips but no tickets. They need that to tally the till at the end of their shift.<br /><br />If you want to know if your ticket has been voided, just check it at a lottery scanner.<br /><br />In NYS, you cannot void any ticket without the ticket being scanned by the terminal. Also, only some of the draw game tickets can be voided. Those include Numbers (pick 3), Win 4, Take5, Quick Draw and Pick 10. Power Ball. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi! I purchase quick pick lotto tickets at a Big Box Store. On a few occasions I observed the following: after paying for and receiving my ticket(s) I noticed the cashier make a few quick key entries and an item similar to a lotto ticket would be generated the cashier would quickly remove it and then put it in the till of the cash register.
