Tourists in Canada can play the lottery and collect winnings. They sell them at convenience stores and gas stations just like in the US, and you will have to pay for it in Canadian currency usually. (In my experience, shop owners near the border are very happy to take US dollars for various reasons not relevant to this discussion.)

In the event you win a large amount, any major US bank will deposit a check denominated in Canadian dollars drawn on a major Canadian bank, they will simply apply

I hope that you have the challenges of converting Canadian dollars into US dollars.

Start with your bank and they might be able to lead you to the correct money exchangers.

I am a US citizen and will be visiting Canada soon. What are the rules for playing the lottery in Canada for non-citizens. What kind of games can I play, do I use US dollars? If not, when I win where do I convert my winnings back to US dollars? Please help.
