The real pattern that I've noticed over time, regardless of my screwed up total on my spreadsheet, is more often than not it is always good to pick 1 or 2 prime numbers in the Powerball, MegaMillions, Cash5 type games, Match 6 type games, and 1-30 type games.

Powerball had 19 and 67 last night, MegaMillions had 3 and 23 in Friday's draw, PA Cash 5 had 2, 17, and 23 last night, PA Match 6 had 3 and 41 last night, and 1-30 PA Treasure Hunt had 5 and 17 yesterday.

Re-ran all of my data and now I am seeing normal or what I should be seeing. 1/3 of the time or less, which makes sense. My Excel formula was definitely corrupt and I had copied and pasted that into each sheet, hence the carry over to every game.

Prime numbers, prime factors, gematria, etc. kaballah, if you can figure out the patterns to the lottery you're going to be a big winner. Everett pierce has videos and riddles, however I notice when I do some pyramidS i do in a certain way.

But, but, but primes are special, and because they're special they have a major effect on the chances that otherwise identical balls will rise to the top of the machine and be picked.

Hi Rick, welcome to Lottery Post. Too see if the data is out of whack, let's look at the theoretical probabilities. Take Powerball for instance. You've got 50 non-prime white balls to choose from and 17 non-prime red balls. So the probability of not getting any prime among the 6 balls is

[(50 choose 5)*17] [(69 choose 5)*26] = 12.327% chance

Prime numbers should come up a lot more than half the time in Powerball.

Now look at PA Cash 5, which is a 5/43 game. You've got only 29 non-p... [ More ]

For quite some time I've been tracking lottery numbers using Excel.

I track the Powerball, MegaMillions, and PA Cash 5, Match 6, and Treasure Hunt.

I've noticed a high incidence of prime numbers in each of these games.

Through 95 draws the incidence of prime numbers in the Powerball is 49%.

Through 96 draws the incidence of prime numbers in the MegaMillions is 49%

Through 98 draws the incidence of prime numbers in the Cash 5 is 51%
