On a side note, Pick 4 has 703,098,107,712,000 possible permutations of a total possible 10,000,000,000,000,000 outcomes.

The lottery odds of all digits being picked for Pick 4 in a single draw day is 1 in (10,000,000,000,000,000 / 703,098,107,712,000) or 1 in 14.2227661977.

In Pick 4, all digits will be picked on average once every 14.2227661977 draw days.

Those numbers appear to be more on target.

315 draw days per year = 1,575 draw days from 2015 - 2019

8 times every digit has appeared at least once through 4 draws on any given day

1,575/8 = 1 occurrence every 196.875 draws

given 0123456789XY as the basic form, where XY is any repeating digit, there are 6,187,104,000 possible permutations.

this would give a lottery odds of 1 in (1,000,000,000,000 / 6,187,104,000) or 1 in 161.626505713.

this event should happen on average once every 161.626505713 draw days.

Thank you Allen B thats good to know I can get the files from another player here. I can get the 12 numbers in their own columns in excel but i'm still chewing on how to create a function that knows when a row has every digit. I'm thinking it's too infrequent to bother with tho.

db, not sure how you program, but you can find all of the draws for every Pick 3 or 4 game by getting a copy of Winsumlosesum P3Draw and P4 Draw file. I think he is still updating it but you can look back in the Systems Forum and get a link. Updating it yourself is pretty easy but you have to have a premium membership here at LP to Do it.

If You use Excel (That's the file type) it is easy to creat a workout that puts all of the draws for the day on 1 line.

Texas has 4 daily drawings of p3 for a total of 12 digits. What are the odds that in one day each digit shows up at least once? I don't have any intuition how rare it should be. It must be rare cuz I can't find any recent examples of it happening.
