Yes, it's very straightforward. Those are numbers which fell on the same calendar date in the past. It's easiest to see with an example:

01/08/2019,635,723 01/08/1996,657,723

So, the number 723 fell twice on the same date, 01/08, once in the year 1996 and most recently in 2019.
