I have to say compared to other states, Texas Lottery does a great job with providing information.

My problem with scratchers, besides what I mentioned above, is Texas is a BIG state. It's a lot harder to find a winner than a smaller state. But, you have a point about mapping distribution.

You're lucky Texas shows the locations of the top prize winners on the website. You could map out where they are distributed and try to discern a pattern.

I don't play scratchers but I check them on the Tx Lottery website. One big thing I have noticed is that some of the newer tickets over the last year or so have lower prize guarantees in a pack.

Compare #2145 Multiplier Spectacular that has a guarantee of $230 in a pack to #2178 Money that has a guarantee of $80 in a pack. $80?

If you're buying whole packs, buy the ones that have a higher prize guarantee in a pack.

I play pretty heavily, whole packs a few times a month and it seems like the amount of prizes and odds have been sucking lately. That $30 scratched, #2053 was paying out pretty well for me, won over 4k on it right away but nothing since and I've bought a few packs since my last 1k win. Anyone else hitting Texas scratchers? The 50 dollar ones aren't even that good.
