Powerball

$104 million ($9 million increase from last jackpot)

MegaMillions

$298 million ($24 million increase from last jackpot)

Seems like we will get there with PB soon enough - MM moving like a freight train

The current cash values are 80% to advertised jackpot. So you'll have a lot more than $9M after taxes from $30M dollar jackpot. Personally I'd like to clear $100M after taxes. Could I survive off less? You bet. $100M sounds like an amount that you are set for life.

I was curious so I looked it up - never would have guessed in a million years Indiana would be king of the Powerballs.

*Interesting my state of WI has 17 Powerball wins, but 0 Mega Million - I wonder why?

Yeah, but it will take 50 or so draws to get there. Extending the odds was a bad enough idea, but extending the odds and eliminating the claimed reason for extending the odds, bigger prizes, is Trumpian in its cluelessness.

I could see MM hitting it - being the only high jackpot game right now - but it will be a slow roll.

I am sure less people will be buying $2 PB tickets for 20m jackpot and shifting to MM 145m - but sales have declined so not sure how long it would take.

Right now MM has the best chance seeing that happen since the jackpot is $145/$115. If you're meaning the annuity, it might make it, but it's gonna take a lonnnnng time. Tix sales are down. I'm toying with the idea of buying a ticket tomorrow since I'm taking my wife to the dr, I'll already be out. But, stopping at one extra place that I don't need to
