Is anyone here still playing this game? I only ask because I don't know anyone who plays it anymore.

I bumped into a friend the other day at Kwik Trip (gas station) who also plays the lottery and she mentioned she gave up on AorN awhile back. Another guy in line said he gave up on it too. We were all buying lottery tickets but none for this game.

I used to enjoy watching the info bar under the morning news on FOX 11 running the previous days lottery numbers. Now it sucks. Pick3, pick4 and All-for Nothing for dummies morning / Mid-day? WTF? The lottery runs anti-gambling ads on TV and yet they double the lottery games? If I didn't have a surefire system to pick numbers I'd quit playing.

You could put that $4 into MB or even PB or MM instead and you would be spending less per week on average. (I mean in addition to what you already spend on twice weekly draw games.)

For that matter you'd probably be better off spending that $4 on SC on the daily. Just food for thought.

Of course now you will probably go on to win AorN and prove me wrong.

Vary smart from the lottery. Lets say for P3 and P4, you have your favorite numbers, due numbers, same set numbers etc., you'll probably play BOTH daily draws because you dont want to MISS OUT.

On the 14th, we start the twice daily draws. Its gonna be an odd situation. If you do QPs or your own numbers, do you choose the early or later draw? (or both if you have the money).

If you buy ONE ticket for $2, the odds are 1 in 705,432 for 0/11, and 1 in 705,432 for 11/11.

If you get no numbers correct, you win the jackpot. If you get 11 numbers correct, you win the jackpot. The odds are the same either way.

The answer is 705,432 just like their brochure says.

Just have to look at it in terms of 1 ticket for 1 number set.

They do make it confusing -

If they changed AoN to where you got 2 number sets on the same 1 ticket for $2 then they would print the odds as 1:352,716 because its the odds of 705,432 divided by 2 (2 number sets on one ticket) just like SuperCash or MegaBucks.

In the case of that press release, since the man had 2 tickets, with each one having the 2 opposite set... [ More ]

All comes down to the formula to calculate any lotto odds -

n! / r!(n-r)!

there are also easy to use online calculators:

11/11 or 0/11 , works either way

So in that press release they were just dividing the odds by 2 and I didn't see it off the bat.

WI also uses the same method (odds /2 because of 2 number panels in a ticket) with Megabucks.
