Personally (not that it matters like I have a choice when it comes to my state) RNG vs Balls has never bothered me - if its a computer program or a ball dropping - doesn't change my name

I have store that are closing early per their own choice - and the hours vary (sometimes by 8:30pm or 9pm)

But on the other hand Kwik Trip gas stations are still open 24hrs a day - so I can go there anytime (not for tickets though usually)

Not sure what determines what store closes when - sure doesn't seem to be the state.

Walmart closes at 8:30pm - but the local grocery store is not until 10pm.

Its very different depending on what chain or brand you go to

I took to the streets on my bicycle yesterday and pushed through Union City. Stopped by a water Emporium where l purchase my lottery tickets on the way also to fill up my water bottle, and the gent behind the desk* real nice guy says We closing in 5 mins. l was like what, it's only close to 6 pm. I have been to wawa here in Philly, rite aid, the pharmacy mom and pop that I go to for medicine or something else. the pharmacist is really cool he knows me really well.

it all depends. might see a hot girl or two at a Wawa playing numbers at the machine and I will ask out.

Well, not so much anymore , since the Matrix change and price hike...

It was hard enough before their changes to convince participants to put in as much as I managed to get them, but now?.. huh, I'd have better luck catching lightning in a bottle..!!..

People are just too glued to their cash nowadays..

But there will always be group employee pools that will continue to operate no matter what..

I used to once have a similar problem with the Pwrball play slips,.. being that Lotto Pro would fill in the numbers on the slips when printing...

but later on found out that what was creating the error with the terminals reading my slips, was the totally complete inking of the number slots, til the terminal reader couldn't tell whether the mark was an overflow from the adjacent number slots or not... so, decreasing the size of the printer's marking, solved the problem..

The pay slip readers malfunction at times here in NM. I go to one store where the owner is competent and does it manually. He's never made a mistake.

I used to look forward to the enjoyable cruise up to the nearest border town (Eastridge) in Tenn. before Pwrball came to Georgia..!

I'd fire up one of my Cohibas, crack my window just enough to draw out the smoke..set my CB Radio, chat with fellow CBers n Truckers..squeal on the Bears..!!

enjoy the scenic drive...sometimes my Beaver would tag along..!

I have heard of people doing this and how its a preferred store over gas stations - but none of the ones around me seem to sell tickets.

I will not play in my home state of California because they use RNGs. I will play the lottery when I go home to Virginia for Christmas because they use balls.

I enjoy the drive too except when it's snowing. Hour trip to Evanston becomes a dangerous 2 or more hour trip. Luckily my job takes me there often enough that I can buy while there. Of course being on furlough during the pandemic requires me to drive myself. Of course that is cool since I'm bored at home.

Its about 1.5 hr drive from salt lake area to the closest border towns in idaho or Wyoming . I enjoy the drive so it doesn't bother me

I like the idea of frequenting mom pop stores. unfortunately with c-19, I'm trying to combine everything... so I get ours at the Stop Shop whilst doing the shopping. there rarely is a line at customer service/lottery machine any more, so it's a quick trip

l rarely purchase lottery tickets at gas stations, cause I * think they have deep enough pockets to begin with. I will go out of my way to buy tickets at Mom Pops stores or anything close to resembling those places. It's all about supporting the little guy, and those spots are disappearing from the American landscape for good. Even if l am filling up gas, l will not buy a lottery ticket, l will only give you what you need that's just me.

What? In my experience it's never faster. At best it's the same time but you run the risk of cashier error to which recently for me turned a should have been 1500 dollar win into only 500.

Most stores here in Albuquerque are good. 711 got bought out by DK stores and they are good. Some clerk messed up on my tickets last night at a local circle K. Oh well . Generally they know what they are doing but I show them how to enter the numbers on the keypad option instead of feeding the machine with a slip. Its faster.

I have one near me that is a lotto shop. It used to be a newspaper/magazine store that also had the back half filled with vhs tapes for rental years ago.

I never stepped foot in the place for well over decade and now the back half is empty. Front half that used to have lots of candy and newspapers/magazines is barebones.

But they have tons of scratchers rolled out behind the cashier more than I've ever seen anywhere else x 10! They even have a table with pennies so people can sit and scra... [ More ]

If it's pretty clear they're trying to cheat you, then chances are they've been trying to cheat other customers too. You should contact your state lottery to make a complaint about that retailer. Most state lotteries have an investigative/security division. Good luck to you.

I've never run across a lotto shop before,..first I've heard of such..

But, I'd rather play at a mom pop type store, for they'd have need for the prize money awarded from the sell of a winning ticket..trouble is, they tend to close way too early for me, since I usually play near cutoff time..unless it's Pwrball I'm playing.. 9:50p cutoff..

So, for the most part for me, it's a National chain store, or Gas Station... occasionally a Package Store...

If there was a nice one-off locally owned convenience store around me I would go there to give them my business - but its all corporate here.

For the longest time I ran my tickets at the local Piggly Wiggly. Since then, new owners bought the store, now (a real bit ch) owns the store. After she runs my tickets, she puts the playslip far to my right near the lotto machine, and the tickets near the cash register, far to my left. I had to reach over the counter to retrieve my playslip and tickets. After the first 4 or 5 times I stopped going back. Now I run my tickets at the local BP station and cash winnings at the huge Woodmans grocery

I've been buying my tix at a little private owned c-store for years. They are very nice people. Every once in a while I buy at Tom Thumb grocery store at the customer service counter, but it's rare for me. They don't really get huffy, but it seems they don't want to be bothered. When I was working I would buy my work pool tix at another c-store near my work because it's on the way home. But the private owned c-store is my favorite.

Sounds cool and crazy to me!

For choices around where I live in Wisconsin we have:

Holiday (Gas Station)

Kwik Trip (Gas Station)

Freedom (Gas Station)

County Market (Grocery Store)

In my experience - Kwik Trip is always a horrible experience for me -

I can hand them a few play slips to scan and they always figure out a way to mess it up - some of the cashiers are nic... [ More ]
