I immediately shut down the program again, extended the update ban for another 7 Days and used the Quick Repair in Settings-Apps-Microsoft Office and am up and running again.

I purchased my current program several years ago. I think it is the 2013 version. My question is Why after about 5-6 years without a single program update message is this all of a sudden happ... [ More ]

Hey AB,

Oh but yes. Untelling where I'd be if it wasn't for the screwed up updates and just Excel messing up in general.

I'm guessing you are using 10? Can you get into your update section so you can just un-install the last update? I did that and kept blocking it until they got the problems fixed on the next one. You can stop updates for 7 days with windows 10. Is it this update? KB4497165

From what I'm gathering that is a CPU update. Not a lot of info on it yet if it's that update. If... [ More ]

Everything was fine yesterday. Running Office 2016.

There has never been any notice of an update until today.

Now It tries to run an unwanted update and says it can't complete the Task and won't let me open any Files.

My Internet connection is slow right now so that might be the problem.

This whole thing is a Crock. I did not want this.

Anyone else been attacked by the Microsoft Mafia like this before.

Any Suggestions?

Allen
