I created an excel file, but you can also easily do it.

Start a new Excel spreadsheet.

1. In Cell A1 put in a header, such as Nimbers or anything you choose to call it.

2. Put your 15 numbers in Column A from a2 to a16.

3. In the B column, type in B1 this, without the quotes: =STDEV.S(a2:a16

I suspect people would like to respond but are not sure what you're asking. The standard deviation is a statiscal measure of the spread or dispersion of a data set. First we must be clear whether you seek the STD of the entire population of date you're concerned about, or the std of a sample set. In either case the standard devationncan be thought of as the overage distance of an item in the data set from then mean (average).
