I agree but what most mat not see in this explanation is that if for example. You might be looking for a pattern in the sums but there may not be a pattern to find in the straight historical sums. You might find a reliable pattern in the top rank of sum frequencys. This is where you can open a can of mathematical worms as to how or what perspective the nn is looking at. The difficult to keep track of part is the patterns within patterns that show a given result.

OK! raven, you are correct in your neural network definition,

cottoney, the objective is to find patterns and not numbers

in the lottery, patterns in which in a month or more

the forecasts are aligned on a bet, through the frequencies in each position, it will be hard work

Coursera.com offers a lot of online classes in these topics you are interested in, and you can take them for free if you select the audit option. If you just want to learn how to program neural networks, and you don't want a certificate of completion or have someone grade your homework and give you feedback, it's a good free option. Ultimately I think you are the only one who will ever be able to create this grand program you have in your head, so you must try to learn some of these skills.... [ More ]

What is pattern recognition in a neural network?

Pattern recognition is the process of recognizing patterns by using a machine learning algorithm. Pattern recognition can be defined as the classification of data based on knowledge already gained or on statistical information extracted from patterns and/or their representation.
