I agree with you when pseudo random generated numbers look weird, because they likely are.

No you got it wrong - I said all 5 consecutive numbers -big difference than 2 or 3 consecutive numbers we see that often.Well to answer your question South Africa is run by the ANC which are bunch of commies -sad but true and there is a big history of corruption -in the lottery -I m quite sure hands are in the cookie jars!!!!! -sad to say it from my own country but I dont trust them PERIOD. OK Stats Rick, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I don't think consecutive numbers alone are proof that the drawing was rigged. There needs be evidence of someone tampering with the RNG, evidence that one or more winners is connected to someone who works for the lottery, etc. Have there been other proven instances of lottery fraud in South Africa

Thank you Stat$stalker -Yes as mentioned previously if its a qintet with a different power ball I might believed it -the fact that we have a lobby group questioning this draw says something is not so ok.......and which is sad news in any country where it happened........just no surprise its on a RNG machine too.All our machines where moved over from mechanical balls to Rng about 4 years ago

5-6-7-8-9... is not what's suspicious, true technically they all have an equally likelihood of appearing, in 1 same Matrix,.. but a consecutive digit from a separate Matrix too?,..that just happens to finish the consecutiveness of the ENTIRE string of digits .. in the same chronological direction?...

The reason not to play certain styles of combinations isn't due to the odds of it coming up, it's because of how many players buy them each draw. If you're only going to win one jackpot in a lifetime, make it a big one.

Every combination is as equally unlikely as any other. But you didn't address my point, which was why would people rigging the lottery choose consecutive numbers that stand out like a sore thumb and attract lots of attention? That's not how you pull off a scam.

If it was a qintet with a different pb I might have believed it but what are the chances of all 5 and the powerball -no ways thats just very unlikely.Even Gail Howard said openly a combination like this must be avoided......hey its 2020 so all things must be possible.

If it were rigged, why would they rig it to such a conspicuous combination? This is all over the news now. I think people involved in a conspiracy would have tried to avoid scrutiny. And it's no surprise that 20 people won the jackpot; loads of people play consecutive numbers.

When Tipton rigged all those RNG drawings in the US, the combinations he picked looked random. The numbers themselves were not what caught the eye of investigators.

While it could be fraud...technically any number combination has the same chance of coming up including 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Random is random...sometimes you have a pattern and it is just by chance.

Indeed you are correct there 100%. I think its a world wide issue to be frank the same technology is been used world wide. I am sure every lottery player like things to be run fairly -I know Todd and allot of people are against the RNG and computerized lotteries(Im not a fan myself).....and rightly so. Well, you've posted that official Lottery devices are programmed... I'd call that drawing results, BONIFIDE PROOF..!!

They'd never try that here in the U.S.

You wont believe it....20 people won 5.6Million each ZAR -that is about R15 for 1 USD when doing the calculations -the jackpot was R119 000 000 (119 Million Rand)

My one friend emailed them to ask them to please make next weeks 11 12 13 14 15 PB16 lol

Im sharing this as this really statistically have no chance of happening EVER -its RNG here in my country Boohoo surprise surprise -I do not play it for the fact I dont trust them PERIOD and I only play lotteries with a high turnover of jackpots -which this one dont make the cut.
