There was a guy who went from Winning like 60 Million in The Lottery and ended up so broke, he was working in a Cookie/Biscuit Factory just like one year later, for like $15,000 a year.... Sad...

That is indeed sad. Rather Tragic as well.

I hope I never win a big Jackpot like that that puts me on the radar of thieving lowlifes.

I did have a similar sad story though once.

One time. I only had a two bucks. And I liked this number 775 (vortex math).

But I was also hungry and this junk food was just staring at me from the rack nearby. So instead of playing a combo, I only played 50 cent box so I could get

this super spicy bag of popcorn.

For sad lottery stories jackpot winners who get murdered are certainly sad stories but the woman in NJ who won two jackpots, blew them all and wound up living in a trailer park on social security is also a sad lottery story.

I guess transparency is the right word/reason, but in my state the reason they say they won't allow players to claim anonymously is to demonstrate that the games are completely honest and not rigged. It ensures players confidence is a phrase I've read on their website.

Unfortunately that won't work in Wisconsin. If you hit the jackpot on any game they post your full name on the lottery website. They say its for transparency. Funny how transparency only applies to the little guys and not the politicians.

She had a valid point. I remember when a 20 year old man won a HUGE Lottery,. A Poster online pointed out if he had CONSENTUAL sex with any girls in high school or College, they could falsely claim he raped them and sue him. The Poster thanked God he was still a Virgin and couldn't get sued with false Rape Allegations....

Not exactly sure the woman you mentioned was the pharmacist in Illinois (IL was non anonymous then) but she simply told the Illinois lottery that in her case being a pharmacist and not being allowed to be anonymous would just invite bogus malpractice suits.

If you do ever win, you are actually allowed to show up in disguises to collect your money. A Woman showed up wearing a wig, dark sunglasses and extremely gaudy looking clothes, and they still gave her the money! LMAO! :D

Another option is to cover your face with the Novelty Oversized Check. A man did exactly that, and he still got the money. :)

Another option is to wear a MASK. Not the Normal masks everybody wears nowadays, but a full face mask. A guy showed up wearing a Scream... [ More ]

The man who was.poisoned of Cyanide before he could even GET the money is also a very sad Lottery Story. His death is STILL a Cold Case to this day. I have a feeling that somebody STOLE the winning Lottery ticket and then poisoned him....

I remember hearing about this years ago and thought to myself, The universe seems to have a warped and sometimes downright evil sense of humor . By this i mean it lets some win and go on to fully enjoy their winnings, while letting others win only to let the die shortly after; and in some instances in very bad ways like it did with him.

His Lottery Ticket was JINXED from the very beginning in 2006 (15 years ago) when he Won 30 Million!

I agree. Dee Dee even looked crazy and evil in her Mugshot despite looking pretty. :/ At her Trial, she looked haggard with nasty looking hair. She looked like a completely different Woman from the Woman in the mugshot.
