I won a tentative $324 by having the Fireball replace a 7. 227 was the winning number, and I have 228 straight. I won $34 by having an 8 replace one of the draw numbers. :) So, $358 by using Fireball. :) On top of the 228/227 thing, I won about $12 in Jackpot Triple Play tickets. :) So, I will have $336 in CASH Winnings. I feel your pain. I had 863 with Fireball and LOST by ONE digit, TWICE. had that been a 3 and the Fireball also a 3, I would have won $80

YOU played the following:

485 w/ fb option

884 w / fb option

184 w / fb option

384 w / fb option

784 w / fb option

So I believe in my second look, it goes like this:

648 FB 4 Replaces numbers in the DRAW for that DAY. In order to make different combinations of the following:

448 = replaced the 6 in that evening draw (648 = 448)

644 = replaced the 8 in that evening draw(648 = 644)

I played the following:

485 w/ fb option

884 w / fb option

184 w / fb option

384 w / fb option

784 w / fb option

Went and scanned them at Publix and they sorry not winners on all.

How is that

Yep, I was right. According to Florida Lottery Website, Fireball replaced the One Off option... You are right, they should have just left them TOGETHER.... I could see Players spending like $3 a ticket for what would have normally been like .50 cents.

One of these days some lottery will add all pick-3 betting options including exotics like Fireball and 1-OFF. Sum bets, digit position bets, high/low, even/odd, etc. Doubt they'll go back to allowing dime bets , but will probably keep the 50 cent bets.

It's like adding a box bet and the worth, like any other dollar bet depends on if we win. Kentucky has a 1-OFF option that for an extra buck has 27 pick-3 chances and 81 pick-4 chances.

Read where that option will end on January 31 so maybe I was the only one playing it. If the offer a version of Fireball, I'll spend the extra buck.

It's very much worth the extra dollar. :) For example, I played 873 box with Fireball and 377 showed up with a Fireball of 8(It was kind of like 873). It paid me $34 on a $1 bet. :) Had I not chosen Fireball, I would have literally lost by ONE number.

I believe so! Like with NJ's midday drawing today. The draw was 818 with Fireball 8. So if you played 818 plus the Fireball, you should get paid on the 818, both the regular payout plus the Fireball payout.

With the box payouts, you get paid for every matching combination generated with the Fireball. So again with the NJ Midday results from today, if you played 818 boxed with Fireball, you would get paid for the regular box payout plus two Fireball box payouts for the Fireball in position 1... The Fireball pretty much works the same in all the various states that have implemented it.

First of all, the Fireball doesn't count for anything unless you purchase it. Just like how the Megaplier in Mega Millions is worthless to you unless you buy it.

If they play 756 plus fire ball 1.......if you buy 756 $1$1 you would spend an extra $1 so $3 instead of $2. In this case you only won off the str8 and box... for you to get fireball one of they digits had to be a 1(156-716-516 etc,.) If the fire ball 6 (then you 766-566 and 666 so you would still win).. for you to win the fire ball as to be one of ur picked numbers

This forum is for the purpose of discussing how the new Fireball works in Florida.

If anyone has any insight on how it works, please feel free to join the discussion.

It's very confusing and the Florida Lottery website does not explain in detail how it works.

I know other states have Fireball. Maybe it works like other states?
