The cutoff is $600 in NM. Anything larger is a trip to the lottery commision.

You can win every day depending on what you are playing and how you are playing. You dont have to sign a ticket or go to a lottery place to cash it unless the ticket is over 599.00. You can go to several different retailers as long as they have the money to pay you and you nothing is reported. A friend of mine had 10 pick 3 tickets worth 500.00 each. Now if the ticket is worth over 599.00 then you have to got to a state lottery place to cash it and then give up your information for tax purposes.... [ More ]

The best advice for winning 10 or more times in a month is to save all of the winning tickets. If everything totals to more than $1K, go the Lotto office. Otherwise, I doubt that it'll be a problem unless you keep going to the retailer more than once in a month...

We have some people here that post winning tickets almost daily, but doubt any of them will be flagged by the lottery or the IRS for winning under $100 on their usual 50 cent box tickets. Read where some players won several times on Scratch-offs, but that's not exactly the same picking numbers.

With a nice betting strategy you could easily turn even 10 pick-3 wins in a month into a huge profit. However IF is a very big word.

There is a guy in my neighborhood who apparently wins Pick-3 regularly. He wins so much, so often, that he purposely spreads his plays across several tickets, so that he doesn't win a big lump sum on any one ticket. It's not that he is trying to avoid being detected, it's actually so that he can collect his winnings in smaller bunches at a lotto retailer in our neighborhood, instead of having to trek all the way to downtown Toronto to pick up big cheques at the OLG lottery office. If you start going to the lottery office cashing in p4 straights every day, they might think you're cashing them for someone else. There have been stories in the news forum about people winning an incredible number of times, (usually clerks) but they're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars of winnings. You can look them up.

Here in the states if you deposit more than 10k at a time in a bank they have to tell the IRS. In case you're laundering money or avoiding taxes.
