QR code at retailer works one day, then it doesn't work. Result: I had to fill out bet-slips manually (so not use to doing that anymore). Next action: Automate ticket printing by having RBTL email picks to retailer. No muss or fuss.

Lottery Family, yesterday it finally happened. Another wrinkle to add to the Top 10 issues. What is it pray tell? Answer: Too many ppl ahead of you.

I tend to go to my local lottery watering hole expecting to find a clerk and a 1-2 ppl buying cigarettes.

Last night was not the case, as tens of ppl were in line ahead of me buying lottery tickets. One guy bought over $450 worth of Mega Millions lottery tickets (which took several minutes to print).

Ohio requires their retailers to only accept original play slips which must also be hand marked. That's not to say some retailers don't accept replicas or auto printed play slips. I hand mark mine after my printer places a small x over my number selections. The x is there to help me quickly see and mark the correct numbers.

I have solved this problem, Speler. I coded my betslip printer to be replicas of the FL betslip. It prints perfectly.

Many years ago, I printed a 4/4 pick 6 with 14 numbers on the lotto forms using Excel and a macro twice a week.

The problem was that the borders of the forms were not the same on each paper.

The printer didn't hold the forms in place or the roll didn't take them perfectly.

Finally for the last period that I used it, the scanners refused the forms.

Practically, the settings for margins were a bit a problem for Excel, so sometimes I had to rectify the spaces.

It actually go through lotto machine? Answer: Yes. It does.

I have a ton of development work going on - making RBTL simpler to understand and adding Wisconsin to the betslip engine. When I have the betslip updated please test it NikkiCute.

I developed two solutions: 1) Digitized betslip 2) QR code generated betslip (no paper required).

Although I must admit , I'm curious as to whether or not your QR code generated betslips would work here in Ga... but as to Lotto Pro being dated ?...all I have to say is....

The Wheel is also a dated invention, but hasn't gotten any ROUNDer since..so, maybe , if it ain't broke?,... don't fix it...!!

I like the QR code. I tried using that at my local lottery retailer a while ago, but their scanner/reader had issues. It's been a while since I tried, so maybe I should give it another go.

The digitized option would not work here in OH. I believe the bet slip must be an original.

You can enjoy error free BetSlip scanning at any Terminal when your number selections are WITHIN the number boxes like ..so...

Especially when using your printer to print out number selections...my example was done in Lotto Pro ...

for printing lottery sorcerer. i also use lotsoft pro, best lot, lottery stastic analyser, delta software, a list of others. Mostly excel as most software is not very useful on its own.

My old tired eyes have a hard time staying within the 1/8 size boxes. I got so tired of tickets being invalid due to my handmade marks going outside the boundaries that I made my own ticket printing software. I usually only have between 3 and 6 tickets to print, but it sure does save me time, both at home and at the lottery terminal.

I dont usually play the big games but in NC in the pick 3 and pick 4 games they have red ball and double draw months that do nothing but throw off stats. However I do usually print out my tickets using software because you have the issue of some store clerks are new and dont know how to process your tickets very well and also have the people who every day is their first day on earth. Then theres the people that can follow you around trying to play your numbers. I have had them run for the trash

For some reason my printer is only scanning them in black and white - I am guessing that is not ideal.

Taking a picture via camera wouldn't work. It has to be a scanned image via printer. When you get a moment scan all your state betslips and send to me. I'll add them to my code. Since you'll be the first, you can try it out for free.

I once had it where I gave a slip to run, would have been $5, and somehow there was something that got stuck on the sheet when they scanned it...because I didn't select 7 draws and when the slip came out it didn't have anything on the 7 draw bubble...but that ticket cost me $35! haha

Must have been something on the reader lens or something.

There has been a couple rare times when debris from a counter where a lot of scratchers are scratched might cling to a bet slip and cause a completely different, usually much larger bet.

Speler, you're sooo right! When I used to scan betslips the scanner would jam (and forget where it left off), and I'd have to run the betslips thru scanner again.

One of the biggest issues that can thwart your game betting ?.. is finding out AT THE TERMINAL that your Game's rules have changed... such as an increased or decrease in its number pool.. Like how PB MM would do sometimes... or even your favorite State's proprietary game..
