I agree that it is not smart leaving behind bets slips and such. I think its also smart to mix up where you buy your tickets at as well, especially if you win a lot.

I'm on the same page as you.. My previous statement was refering to store clerks, and bystanders, regular players, taking note of your wins, if you were to cash your winning tickets at the same Store you submit your Betslips and possibly discarded betslips..etc.. Not Lottery Officials...

$1,000? In my State you can only cash in $599 at the most.... Anything over that had to be cashed at a Lottery Office...

At first I was wondering how the lottery office would even know, then I reread the story and it said you could wager any thing from .50 to $5.00. He was probably doing the $5 wager so each winning ticket would be worth $3,000, hence the visit to the lottery office to cash it. A good reason to play separate tickets.

I find this hard to believe... And the winner happened to be the only person who ever won $600 or more in a single drawing at the store during those three years.

As I said to you in your other thread (where you asked the exact same question) - there's a guy in my neighborhood who wins PICK-3 several times a week. Just spread your bets across several bet slips so you keep your winnings under $1000 on each ticket. If your winnings are under $1000, you can easily collect from any lottery retailer of your choice (no need to keep going to the same one). No, Ploco2 is correct. You cannot play PICK-3 online in Ontario. The only daily online game is Keno.

I'm sure they're notified when there's been a Big Game Winner, like MM, PB, or the State's Pick 5 games ... but not sure about the pick 2's,3's, 4 Games..

I wasn't talking about Pick 3. I was thinking more along the lines of Fantasy 5, Mega Millions, Lotto, Jackpot Triple Play, Cash4life, and Powerball....;) If you're constantly Winning THOSE Games, Lottery Officials eyebrows will most likely be raised....

Aren't stores notified when or how much someone hit at their store?

I guess if they have plenty of customers come and go and play lotto they can't figure out which

one is winning often.

That way, the people where you submit your Betslips, will never know how often you hit...

How? Pick3 or Numbers if you from the NY area, is tax free 100%. Unless you put 2 straight tickets on the same ticket. Pick 3 is completely tax free! Trouble for what? How is that even possible? Here in Ontario, you can register with the lotto corp. Your bet slips can be done online. They pay you directly if you win.

The more astute player knows not to leave his or her Betslips behind, if they hit alot..ask for them back, to compare if the Terminal actually spit out what your slips says..

I once had a slick lil hefa clerk try to slip erroneously printed tickets from other Game transactions into MY transaction, so that SHE wouldn't have to pay for'em..!! ..even kept 1 of my Betslips , because it was 5 extra tickets she was trying to stick ME with..so she intentionally didn't print them, so the count wouldn... Here in the states, if you make a cash deposit of 10k the bank is required to notify the IRS. If you start making big deposits save the receipts when you cash your tickets. That way you can prove the money came from lottery winnings and that it wasn't from some illegal activity.

Otherwise don't even worry about it.

The real problem is not the lottery officials with pick 3. Its people noticing how often you are hitting. It starts out friendly enough. But somewhere along the line it winds up with people fighting over your discarded tickets that you filled out in order to get the actual printed lottery ticket.

No, because Pick 3 is a top prize of only $500 which can be cashed at a Supermarket.... The Lottery doesn't care about $500... Now if you were constantly Winning the Fantasy 5 top prizes, then the Lottery would have raised eyebrows....
