I wish our system for this was like California's - enter them in online so you don't have to pay for postage.

Our lottery has second hand drawings, send in tickets worth $5 for a weekly drawing.

I keep them in case I win enough that I have to claim winnings on my income tax return. The cost of playing can count against the winnings. Plus I keep a record of what I play and the dollar amount in a journal.
