I didn't sense anyone communicating a gambling problem. What I sensed were literal feelings - apathy, anger, sadness (real feelings).

Pro sports players even when they lose consecutively including the bench players that my never get in the game still receive a pay check, win or lose. A lottery player will lose and probably have one of those feelings in the survey above or one of if not various other feelings not mentioned. Not sure why anyone would take such a poll/survey unless they have a gambling problem just my take, ingest as a pinch of salt.

I couldn't pick any of the choices. Of course I'm a little disappointed when I lose, but.....I play jackpot games almost exclusively. That is, Tx 2 Step, Tx Lotto, MM, and PB. Obviously playing games with long odds means losing a lot more than winning even small prizes. So I don't get upset. It is what it is with those games. I came close twice winning a jackpot. Once in Ohio Lotto, and once in Tx Lotto. Hoping third time is the charm.

I picked upbeat. Yes I'm mad for about 30 seconds after realizing I have a losing ticket but then it's on to the next draw. Tell myself to keep at it and one day that mindset will be rewarded.

There is no good feeling when you lose especially when you put so much attention, time, and effort in analyzing the game your playing.

You think you have the game figured out but you know what bites you in the arse.

There are days when you feel good about playing and days where you should stay away. Maybe your subconscious mind.

Bottom line is that you keep playing if you have the deep pockets.

That was years ago in the P3. Pretty much all I did was go +/- 1-2-3 from each digit in the last draw, then study the skip patterns. Then I chose the digits I thought were the best. Played 10-12 #s.

It worked well for a couple of years. Then all of a sudden it didn't. Like a lot of things, they run their course. I completely agree with Karen. Not winning is my default state and on those rare times I do find a win, I'm actually surprised. I usually play twice a week, usually $20 per play with a mix of P3, P4, and P5. Usually hit around 3 times per year. Mostly playing based on hunches and/or seeing what looks like a repeating pattern.

Nobody goes undefeated. It's part of the game. Pay attention to when you win or lose. When I used to play every day, I found I did better in the colder months, worse in the summer. Why? Who knows. It's just how it was.

I have been chasing the big jackpots since 1996 of Oregon Megabucks and Powerball and Mega millions since 2010 so I know that my tickets are a drop in the bucket. So I stay upbeat about it and now realize that if I win a prize on any of my tickets I get happy because I really only play a little bit at any time.-weshar75
