My hobby is to check discarded lottery tickets. Any given day I'll check 200-300 thrown away tickets where the player failed to scan the ticket to double check their assumption that they lost.

I started on Memorial Day weekend in 2018 when I found a ticket left on a Coinstar machine. Out of curiosity I took it to the scanner and found out it was a $5 winner. Within a week I had found a $50 winner and was hooked. Total found winnings now top $17,000. Since I don't buy lottery tickets myself th... [ More ]

Those scratchers can be awfully complicated.

I did find some tickets once in the middle of the street. It was weird. They were in a manila envelope and they were all the same number. I should have taken them to the store to scan them. I could have been rich

Well... I have found a few winning tickets (that I didn't pay for.)

Many years ago, I worked in a store that sold lottery tickets. There was a ticket laying on the counter (face down) and I picked it up. It was a Loose Change ticket. You needed to add up to over $1 to win. It was a $40 winner. I guess the person didn't know how to add and thought it was a looser.

Last year I walked into my regular lottery shop and there was a $30 scratcher on the self-service machine. I picked it up and no... [ More ]

Years ago,I found a Lottery Ticket on the ground. It was a Snowman themed game. The game rules were Match Your Numbers to the Winning Number. If you see a Snowman, win prize Snowman is on top. The Snowman was on top of a $2 prize for a $1 ticket. The person assumed they lost because their numbers didn't match any Winning Numbers. They forgot or didn't know that the Snowman was a Winning Symbol. I was happy for the free $2! :D I remember someone saying they found Lottery Tickets on the floor wher... [ More ]
